– Ciao! Io sono Riccardo. Sono un bambino di 6 anni e abito a Mantova. La mia casa è molto bella ed è vicina ai giardini del Te. Quando c’è il sole, io vado a giocare con gli altri bambini e ci divertiamo molto perché questi giardini sono molto grandi e posso correre, andare in bicicletta o giocare a pallone.
La mia mamma ha pensato di fare un “bed and breakfast” a casa nostra: io non so cosa vuol dire, ma mio papà mi ha spiegato che è come un nido sempre pronto per gli uccellini che vengono da lontano e vogliono dormire. Io sono molto contento perché quando arrivano le persone ospiti le accompagno io alle camere. Il mio papà ha dipinto tutta la casa e la mia mamma invece ha fatto le tende per le finestre e per le porte. Hanno preparato ogni cosa, anche la televisione per ogni camera, e hanno attaccato al muro le fotografie di Mantova.
Al mattino gli ospiti si svegliano e mia mamma prepara sulla tavola i biscotti e la torta anche se non è il compleanno di nessuno. Quando tutti sono seduti a tavola, versa il latte e il caffè e serve il pane con burro e marmellata. A volte prepara anche il tè. Se ci sono dei bambini, mia mamma offre la Nutella da spalmare: però non è vero che la mangiano solo i bambini… anche i grandi la mangiano col pane!
Hello! I’m Ricky. I am a 6 year old and I live in Mantua. My house is beautiful and it’s near the Te gardens. When it’s sunny, I go to play with other children and we enjoy a lot because these gardens are very big and I can ride my bike or play football.
My mother thought of doing a “bed and breakfast” at our house: I do not know what it means, but my dad explained to me that it’s like a nest always ready for the birds that come from far and want to sleep. I am very happy because when the guests arrive, I bring them to the rooms. My dad painted the whole house and my mum made the curtains for the windows and doors. They have prepared everything, even the TV in each room, and have attached to the wall the photos of Mantua.
In the morning guests will wake up on the table and my mom prepares cookies and cake even if it is the birthday of anyone. When everyone is seated at the table, pours milk and coffee and serves bread with butter and jam. Sometimes she prepares tea. If there are children, my mother offers Nutella to smear: however it’s false that only children eat Nutella… even the adults eat it with bread!
